BadaBump Maternity Sportswear Review

This is an independent review written by a mother who used BadaBump Maternity Clothing during her pregnancy.

Firstly I'd like to say that I have loved trying out this maternity sports range. As a sporty person I was struggling to work out what to wear during my workout sessions avec bump!

I have tried a selection of badabump maternity sports clothing from weeks 27 - 32, of my pregnancy. I tested them during a variety of workouts; consisting of pregnancy yoga, cross-training and spin classes in the gym, and speed walking outdoors.

My absolute favourite items were the cami tops! They are very supportive whilst doing the more strenuous workouts (I have a very generous chest so this matters!) whilst still feeling comfortable to relax in. They are a very flattering fit due to the fabric and design and are stylish enough that I felt I could do the shopping or go for a coffee after a workout without having to change. They don't show up sweat patches obviously either, or ride up over your bump like other tops have done, which instantly makes you feel more confident. They could double up as 'fashion wear', as well as just sportswear as the designs and colours are very stylish. The adjustable straps are great too as they allow you to keep everything in place and would fit different body shapes easily.

In terms of the trousers I preferred the Capri pants as I like a tight fitting outfit, so you feel fully supported. These were slightly on the large side but that was simply a size issue for me as I tested a size 12. The size 10 pant would have been perfect. The high waist allows you to wear the pants over your bump, which feels comfortable and secure without being too hot. I loved the colour and fabric of the pant. The only thing I would have liked to add to the Capri pants is a zip pocket in the back for keys, as I have on my regular Capri pants.

The looser trousers were also very comfortable and perfect for yoga, and a great length aswell. I am 5'8" and usually find this type of trouser too short, so that was a bonus for me. I generally prefer a tighter pant for my shape, but considering women generally put weight on around their hip area during pregnancy I imagine this style would be the most versatile and flattering. They are certainly very comfortable to wear around the house as well!

I find the crossover tops, very useful as well, and also very supportive. The quality of the fabric is excellent and I love the bright colours. These would be great in earlier pregnancy as well if you were still running or doing aerobics, as they keep you in place.

The only item I haven't found useful is the running t-shirt as it showed up sweat patches quite dramatically and it didn't offer the level of support the other tops did. Having said that if you were more flat chested or petite, I imagine this style would suit and you could also wear it layered with one of the cami tops. Furthermore, coupled with a sports bra the support issue would be resolved.

All in all I think the badabump sportswear is well made, high quality sportswear, very flattering and stylish and I would definitely buy some! They also make you feel sexy and actually slimming which is an added bonus when you're pregnant and my husband agrees!
